Weardale Book Fair & Story Train 2023

Book Fair

Saturday 5 August

Free entry

St. Thomas Church Hall
10:30am — 3:00pm

A great social occasion, an opportunity to browse some brilliant bookstalls and chat to the authors. Refresh yourselves with some excellent coffee and cake from the Root and Branch pop-up café and have a go at some drop in writing activities of your own.

Glenda Young, best-selling author of gritty saga novels set in Ryhope and local authors Margaret Manchester, Carol Graham, Jamie Tucknutt, Chris Ruskin, Graeme Rendall and Martin Rogers will be there and we are delighted that Mike Thornton is coming with his latest books about Norman Cornish. Take at look at what some of our great local independent presses have to offer: Blueprint, Carte Blanche, Vane Women, Reiver Country Books.

We’ll add more names to the list as soon as we can, so keep checking to see who’s coming.
