Song Writing Workshop

Could you tell your story in song? Citizen Songwriters is a social enterprise based in the North East of England that realises the power of writing music to bring people together who wouldn’t otherwise meet. They offer unique experiences for people to connect with the heart of songwriting and in doing so, connect deeper with their communities and the people they live with. Sam Slatcher of Citizen Songwriters will be running a workshop during the day in the atmospheric setting of St. Thomas’ Church, Stanhope, and he and the WordFest musicians and lyricists will entertain us with the results to round off Saturday’s events.

the day will be informal and flexible, so if there is something on the WordFest schedule you don’t want to miss, you can take some time out to nip across the road to the Church Hall.
